GRAS Advies // DAGnl
Shaping the Public Realm
DAGnl is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy dedicated to the public realm. We advise, design, conduct research, and supervise projects that shape the spaces where people live, work, and interact. From infrastructure and green spaces to urban (re)development, our focus is always on creating functional, future-proof environments.
By bringing multiple areas of expertise together under one roof, we ensure short lines of communication and a pragmatic approach. We do what we promise and we follow through. At the same time, we look ahead integrating sustainability, ecology, and long-term livability into every project.
GRAS Advies
Ecological research is often a crucial first step before renovation, demolition, or sustainability upgrades can start. Protected species such as bats, sparrows, and swifts and their nesting or roosting sites, must be carefully assessed under environmental legislation.
Ecological research is conducted by GRAS Advies. Our process typically starts with a QuickScan, followed by detailed field research where required, including nighttime bat surveys using specialized bat detectors. By combining thorough ecological knowledge with practical project guidance, we help clients move forward with confidence and compliance.
Our ecology team consists of specialists with diverse backgrounds in botany, mammals and bird ecology, but also planners and GIS advisors. We understand both the natural and regulatory side of projects, as well as the practical interests of clients and end users. This balanced perspective allows us to deliver advice that is realistic, well-founded, and aligned with project goals. Our recommendations are grounded in years of experience and strengthened by close collaboration within DAGnl.
