Royal Avebe is an ingredient supplier and the potato is our raw product. We produce potato starch and potato protein. To get the most out of the potato, we are always looking for innovative solutions and products.

Royal Avebe is a cooperative of more than 2,000 arable farmers in the Netherlands and Germany. Each year, the starch potatoes of those members are processed into high-grade ingredients based on potato starch and protein; they add value to food products but also to industrial applications worldwide.

Avebe works continuously on developing new opportunities and applications based on starch potatoes and is focused on sustainable continuity. The company has more than 1,300 employees and production sites in the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden and sales offices in the United States, Europe and Asia. The Head Office is in Veendam and Avebe has an innovation center on the Zernike campus in Groningen.

Our Innovation Center on the Zernike Campus, opened in 2018, is where innovation comes to life. With the starch potato as our foundation, we develop new applications together with start-ups and knowledge institutions. The center offers modern labs, test facilities, and a customer experience space to create solutions that add value for our members and customers worldwide.

Royal Avebe is een ingrediëntleverancier met de aardappel als ons basisproduct. We produceren aardappelzetmeel en aardappeleiwit. Om alles uit de aardappel te halen wat erin zit, zijn we altijd op zoek naar innovatieve oplossingen en producten.

Royel Avebe is een coöperatie van meer dan 2.000 akkerbouwers in Nederland en Duitsland. Jaarlijks worden de zetmeelaardappelen van deze leden verwerkt tot hoogwaardige ingrediënten op basis van aardappelzetmeel en eiwit; het voegt waarde toe aan voedingsproducten, maar ook aan industriële toepassingen wereldwijd.

Avebe werkt voortdurend aan het ontwikkelen van nieuwe mogelijkheden en toepassingen op basis van zetmeelaardappelen en richt zich op duurzame continuïteit. Het bedrijf heeft meer dan 1.300 werknemers en productielocaties in Nederland, Duitsland en Zweden, en verkoopkantoren in de Verenigde Staten, Europa en Azië. Het hoofdkantoor is gevestigd in Veendam, en Avebe heeft een innovatiecentrum op de Zernike-campus in Groningen.

Ons Innovatiecentrum op de Zernike Campus in Groningen, geopend in 2018, is dé plek waar innovatie centraal staat. Met de zetmeelaardappel als basis ontwikkelen we samen met start-ups en kennisinstellingen nieuwe toepassingen. Het centrum biedt moderne laboratoria, testfaciliteiten en een Customer Experience Center om oplossingen te creëren die waarde toevoegen voor onze leden en klanten.
