Where can I find GLV Idun?
GLV Idun has one main location in the Linnaeusborg of the University of Groningen. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, the board can be found in the boardroom in the Linnaeusborg (5173.0171).
Can I become a member of GLV Idun? How does this work?
Becoming a member is possible when you are a student of the bachelor Biology, the bachelor Biomedical Engineering (BME), the bachelor Life Science & Technology (LS&T), or one of the connected masters at the University of Groningen. More information about becoming a member can be found here.
My account is not yet activated. How do I solve this?
When your account is not activated, this is because you have not clicked on the activation link which was send to the email address you used to sign up. Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. You will receive an e-mail with a new link to activate your account.
When is the introduction day for new first-year students?
The introduction day(s) take(s) place shortly before the start of the academic year. In the academic year 2022-2023, this will be from 9-11 of September.
GLV Idun has debited money from my bank account. Where can I find what this is for?
Log in at the GLV Idun website. Next you can go to My GLV Idun > Profile > My invoices.
Before what date do I have to unsubscribe from GLV Idun?
When you want to unsubscribe for the next academic year, you have to send an e-mail to email@example.com before August 1st.
Committees & Disputen
Which committees and disputen does GLV Idun have?
At the moment, GLV Idun has 21 committees. Information and contact information of the committees can be found here. Besides committees, GLV Idun also has 7 disputen. Information and contact information of the disputen can be found here.
Can I join a committee?
That is possible! All committees have applications at the beginning of the academic year and most committees have a second round of applications later in the academic year. Information about the applications can be found in our Facebook group. If you have a question for one of the committees, you can always send them an e-mail. Their e-mail addresses can be found here.
Who can go to the activities that are organized by committees?
The activities are organized by the committees, but every GLV Idun member can go to the activities and participate. You don't have to be in a committee to go to activities. Non-members can come to most activities as introducees, as long as they are together with a member. Non-members pay more for activities than members.
Study & Career
Where can I order a GLV Idun lab coat?
All new first-year members of GLV Idun can order a lab coat on the introduction day. In case you cannot go to the introduction day or if you are not a first-year in need of a new lab coat, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also visit us in the board room in the Linnaeusborg (5173.0171). Do this preferably around the date of the introduction day.
Where can I order books?
When you are a member of GLV Idun, you can order the books that you need with a discount. The study book store can be found here. You will receive a timely e-mail from us when it is time to order your books for the next period.
How long does it take before I get my ordered books?
This usually takes about 48 hours (weekends not included). But when a book is out of stock, it will take longer. In case the books are much later than 48 hours, check your track-and-trace code to see where the book is. If this doesn't work, you can always mail email@example.com or contact customer support of Studystore.
I received the wrong book. Can I exchange it for the correct book?
This is possible. Fill in the contact form at Studystore and you will receive an e-mail with information about what to do next.
I ordered the wrong book. Can I return it?
Returning is possible within 14 days. It is free to return your books. Your money will be deposited into your bank account within two weeks. You can find more information here.
Are there tutoring classes organized by GLV Idun?
Yes, there are several. The exam support sessions are free for all GLV Idun members. Click here to go to the tutoring classes webpage.
