Hi everyone!

My name is Estelle de Vries and I am honored to fulfill the role of Chair this year. I’m really excited to meet everyone and cannot wait to see what this year will bring.

I am 21 years old and have just graduated from my bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering. I am originally from Amersfoort and this is now my fourth year living in Groningen. Since the start of my student life, I have also been actively involved in this beautiful association. During my time, I have had the joy to be part of the First Year Committee, Almanac Committee, and Lustrum Committee.

Furthermore, I also like to play volleyball with my team in Veracles. Next to that, I love to get myself involved in creative crafts (so lmk if you have cute ideas!), and I get a lot of joy out of playing (and winning) board games!

I am really happy to give my all for the association I love most, and cannot wait to make many memories with you all! Feel welcome to ask any questions you might have (serious or unserious) and I am happy to start a conversation while you grab coffee ;)

Hello there!

My name is Wouter Olderode, and I am a 21 year old born and raised Groninger. After 3 years of studying Life Science and Technology I have decided to take a shot at leading this wonderful association with my fellow board mates. I have the honor of fulfilling the role of Secretary in this board, which means that if you send an email to us I’ll be the first one to see it!

Immediately when I started studying I decided that I wanted to be part of Idun, and this was one of the best decisions of my life. I joined the lovely Paparazcie Committee, and from then onwards it was nothing but fun and friends for 3 years.
In my free time I enjoy doing sports (such as going to the gym and running), making music, playing videogames, having dinner with friends and dancing/singing my heart out on a night out.

I will also be the Confidential Contact Person (CCP) of our board this year. This means that if you have anything troubling you and need someone to talk to, you are always welcome to come by :).

Hi hi everyone!

My name is Liz-Marie Chong, better known as Liz, and I am the Treasurer of the 21st Board of GLV Idun! I’m 22 years old and from the lovely island Aruba! I just finished my third year of Biology and have only one more year to go, so I thought this is the perfect time to do a board year and give back to the association. For the past three years I have been part of InNatura organizing fun activities and creating wonderful friendships and memories.

In my free time I love going running, spending time with friends, watching movies/shows, playing video games, and a bit of reading. So if you ever need a running partner or a movie recommendation I’m all ears.

Hi everyone,

My name is Daria-Anamaria Călugăru and I am the Commissioner of Internal Affairs of the 21st Board! I am 23 years old, I come from the Transylvania region in Romania and have been studying in Groningen for the past four years. In this time, I have completed my bachelor and the first master year of the Biomedical Engineering programme. While I only became active in Idun last year, during which I had an amazing experience in the InNatura committee, I already feel like Idun is a family of friends! Safe to say, I am very excited for the next year with my fellow board members!

When it comes to how I spend my time, I enjoy doing many activities but my favourite by far is swimming, which I have been loving for many years now. I also like reading, going on walks and doing all sorts of arts and crafts, therefore I hope to show you my creativity as I also am fulfilling the role of PR functionary together with Estelle.

Hey everyone,

My name is Léon Berend Dieter Spa, and this year I will be your commissioner of External Affairs. For the last 4 years I have been studying in the beautiful city of Groningen, where I have completed my bachelor's in biology majoring in neuroscience, and have since done one year of my biomedical sciences master’s. Even though I enjoyed my studies a lot I felt like it was time to broaden my horizons and try something else. Given all the fun that Idun has offered me over all those years, I was very excited to start my board year. In my free time, I love listening to music, socialising with my friends, or enjoying sports activities like road cycling and running. For the coming year, I am super excited to get Idun as much money as possible, Luckily I wont be doing this all alone and have the amazing Business Affair committee (BAf) to support me along the way.

Hi everyone!

My name is Ankie ten Cate, I’m 20 years old and I study LS&T. In my free time, I love being active, spending time outdoors, and sewing my own clothes.

For the past two years, I’ve been a member of Idun, which has given me so many great memories and some of my closest friends. During this time, I was part of the amazing EI committee.

This year, I’m really looking forward to being on the board as Commissioner of Education, and to seeing and meeting all of you at ’t Hok and at the many Idun activities throughout the year.
