We would like to inform you that you can register for the International Student Congress of (bio)Medical Sciences (ISCOMS). This year, ISCOMS will take place from the 7th until the 10th of June at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG).
ISCOMS is one of the world’s leading international (bio)medical student congresses and it takes place annually in Groningen, the Netherlands. It is a venue for student research exchange aimed at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, human movement sciences and biomedical sciences. Our first keynote speaker will be Prof. Stefan W. Hell PhD, who was awarded the Nobel prize in Chemistry in 2014 for developing super-resolved fluorescence microscopy. Secondly, we will have Prof. Cisca Wijmenga PhD, a Dutch researcher from the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). She won the Spinoza prize in 2015 for her research on human genetics in coeliac disease.
Besides keynotes, there are also a lot of workshops you can assign to. For example, there will be a workshop about infection prevention in Ebola. There will also be a workshop called Speed dating with researchers, in which you will get the chance to come in contact with researchers from different Research Institutes at the UMCG. Last but not least, there will be an extensive social program, with a formal dinner in the Aa-church. Are you interested in visiting ISCOMS? Register now at our website: www.iscoms.com.
Hopefully we will see you in June!
