The sak

Ingredients 

  • Oil
  • 2250 gr spinach
  • 45 garlic cloves
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons of cumin powder 
  • 3 ¾ teaspoons of turmeric 
  • 7 ½ teaspoons of curry powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

 

Recipe

  • Finely chop the garlic and cut the spinach in rough pieces

  • Heat the oil in a big pan and add cumin powder

  • As soon as the cumin powder starts sputtering, add the garlic and bake until golden

  • Add the spinach, turmeric, curry powder, salt and pepper

  • Mix well and bake (without lid) until the spinach is soft
